This montage video from production studio R!ot Manhattan shows just how easy and effective it can be to manipulate reality in imagery to make the world suit your tastes.

I’m just starting to learn some of those techniques and have known about others they’re using through work with Photoshop in the late 1990’s when I had the good fortune to work for an ad agency. Their work is great though and they do a great job making the world a prettier place.

On a different line of thinking, it never fails to amaze me how easy it is to manipulate people and how willing people are to be manipulated. That may be the purpose of marketing and advertising but it still shocks me every time I encounter the yearning that is correlated with the functioning of marketing.
