Breakdancing tomato

This is a kind of spec ad for the restaurant where I work that was shot a long time ago but only recently edited. The music is stolen, the imagery is a little weak, the camera work mediocre because I didn’t plan for bouncing light and had only use that Canon GL-2 once before.
Those caveats […]

Paths

Driving past the ex-girl…ummm it’s more of an ex-relationship because of the insane complication…house tonight on the way to a movie meeting. Feeling that feeling of loss of a grand part of your life, missing the cats too. Driving past a place that almost hired you, then fired you that day, then called up again […]

Comments and delays and fucking spam

Lately I’ve been getting hundreds and billions of the same idiotic spam comments per day. That neat little feature of the internet has forced me to go to a “moderating all comments” setting which has lead me to become lazy in looking in that pile for real comments.
I think I just managed to accidentally delete […]

What we need

For as long as I’ve known me, I’ve been directionless. No real motivating impulse egging me on to do grander things. Just some mild interests and curiosities and questions that I follow until something distracts me and I move onto another mild interest.

War unadulterated

Reading about foreign policy issues has been strangely fascinating to me since I was about 15 and I had to do research for a paper on neutron bombs and the policy implications of them.

One dark and lonely night, the coyotes howling in the distance, Tiny Winkles heard a disturbing […]

University track

This first attempt,

of taking the picture below is kind of interesting in its own right by virtue of forgetting to change an exposure setting leaving the shutter open way too long but leaving some interesting light trails and patterns of movement.

The final version works okay but the screwy zoomy trails is more fun.

Do not enter the obviously blocked entrance

I saw this sign,

while bicycling yesterday.
If you click on the image you will see a large gate with a DO NOT ENTER sign on it. The amazing thing is that it also has GATE CLOSED in the sign.
“No shit? The gate’s closed? I never would have noticed. Thanks sign!”
Which begs the question, […]

I’m not in my own life

I was recently reminded of how little I remember about my own life by someone I’ve only known through email for about ten years now. She remembers all sorts of ridiculous insane manner of things I’ve written to her that I have absolutely no recollection or even vague memory of thinking much less going through […]
