Breakdancing tomato

Posted on Friday 31 March 2006

This is a kind of spec ad for the restaurant where I work that was shot a long time ago but only recently edited. The music is stolen, the imagery is a little weak, the camera work mediocre because I didn’t plan for bouncing light and had only use that Canon GL-2 once before.

Those caveats said, this thing is hilarious so watch the tomato dance the day away…

Nothing puts a smile on my face more than a break-dancing tomato!

Great balls a fire…you’ve done it again…smiles for those connected to your world……..Makes me want to be a dancin’ tomato….start a dancin’ tomato troupe….and tour the US with dancin tomatoes…and teach the world the tomato dance……and…. there would be peace in the universe. I’m still giggling. You continue to make me smile and realize life can be fun filled if you let your mind be free!!!!

Well done on the dancing tomato. Better camera angles would have weakend your effort. You showed courageous restraint.

Thanks for the comment. It was a purposeful look although I do have to say that I’d do a MUCH better job if I shot the thing today after six months of shooting stuff fairly often and studying books on cinematography.

Anyone out there want a competent camera assistant who works harder than any five people put together and who would love to work with someone shooting actual film?
