Face transformer

Posted on Sunday 6 August 2006

I think I found the St. Andrews Face Morpher website to transform a picture of a face to a number of variations and sillinesses through Digg. (Would the action description then be “I think I dugged it up at Digg”? The internets and their tubes sure do pose a great many grammatical conundrums for these times.)

The program on that website transformed this original picture of me,

my face circa 2006

to a Japanese manga cartoon,

my face as manga cartoon

a variant of a Modigliani,

my face as modigliani

a variant of an El Greco,

my face as elgreco

I didn’t look nearly as interesting as a black man and I looked a little crazy as a baby, an Asian man, and the feminize transform made me look like a bit like an elf.

I don’t want to look like an elf. However, the manga cartoon is the real me. I’m getting on the first plane I can get to Japan and I’m going to be a cartoon hero.

Due to sloppy skimming, I initially read that first part as something having to do with “Dig Dug”. Could one morph themselves into an old 8 bit character more suitable for tunneling about and inflating Pooky and Fygar?

They didn’t have that option but the British are wiley so they might just add that at some time in the future. I’d send them an email and demand, no threaten!!!, that they make additions.

You’re a Viking so the British would cower instinctively. Otherwise, you’d burn their houses and rape their cattle.
