What no-budget film making has wrought

Posted on Tuesday 7 November 2006

I’ve been working as a gaffer on a short film over the past few weekends. Lots of hard work for no pay done on 16 hour days…life doesn’t get better.

The director wanted a shot that rotated over a guy laying on a bed. We made it work by building a contraption hung on an overhead fan.

low budget film contraption

Improvisation is fun.

I’m not so hot on the suicide methods but that’s what the people love so what the hell do I know?

Movies are so much more fun than simple lists anyway. You can blow stuff up in movies or have naked boobies flopping around and that’s much better than killing yourself.
