A point

Posted on Saturday 24 February 2007

There is this thing, you see?

A moment, maybe, you’d call it.

A point where you suddenly realize everything has some how changed.

And you don’t quite know why. And you don’t quite know the reason. And maybe even you’re not sure if it’s good. Whatever happened the moment here you perceive your reality is altered somehow indefinable and obvious.

You wonder what happened…what was that trigger that thing that foot dangled over a precipice was that caused a reaction that made you take the step.

Change like a see saw…sometimes teeters and totters but cannot get off the ground, held by the weight of our preconceived ideas.

Our baggage too heavy, our hearts not ready. Change sometimes passes us by.

It often waits for us to let go of the heaviness our heart and mind feels.

And often what stares us the face is unknown, unseen, incomprehensible. Overloaded brain cells cannot focus, overlooking what is in fact, right before us.

Some think biorhythms have an impact on their lives. Others feel they must be in perfect alignment with the universe.
Others, enlightenment, and knowledge awakens the sleeping soul.

Life is there for the taking. Excuses can be devised why we cannot change. But mostly it is being afraid of the unknown, or failure. Stagnation appears easier and safer than moving forward to a new life.

….this last line was omitted from my comment…..

Acceptance of insecurities, not as defeat, but as a path for growth. Perhaps that is the defining moment.
