no trespassing dead end

I suspect that you’ll end up dead at the end if you trespass against that guy.

Just look at this shot up metal cow next to the trespassing sign!

shot up cow

The one sure legacy Americans have left to the future archaeologists digging through the remains of the American West is the certainty that we loved to shoot things.

Everywhere you go in rural areas, no matter how far away from civilization you are, if you stumble across a road you can be sure that at the end of that road there will be a little campsite and around that little campsite will be a billion shells and shot gun casings. Any metal sign nearby will have been blown to pieces and any metal cow nearby will have been shot with a machine gun.

And there will be cheap beer cans all about that site and all along the remains of the road leading you to the site filled with expended ammunition and shot up signs.

When I was in the wilderness yesterday and photographing those things the one thought I had was, “What’s with the cheap beer? One day I’m going to bring really good beer to the wilderness and shoot stuff. Maybe a Belgian ale made by monks! Or maybe some Stone IPA! Nothing says shootin’ like a wonderful IPA!”

Let the next group of cheap beer swillin’ fuckers take a look at my leftover bottles and let them ponder the mystery of the crazy beer in the desert.

We gotta raise the level of consciousness and never make homage to mediocrity, people! Cheap crap is destroying this country! We have nothing to fear but expanded awareness and experience! Viva la revolution!

Cheap beer comes in cans. Expensive Beer comes in bottles. Bottles are a hell of a lot more fun to shoot, and aren’t left behind when you shoot them, as they tend to explode into sand and shards. Therefore, any beer receptacles found at a makeshift shooting range will be cans- probably with small holes, as they hold up to the bullets better….
