Silouette

Shadow of me in the forest wandering off trails following my brethren the deer. A few weeks later I followed bear tracks which lead me to a pool of water in a forest where I sat for a few hours meditating until the world started to shimmer away. It might have gone completely away if […]

Light ringed leaves

Light hovers on the edges of the leaves. Afraid to jump off for fear of the unknown.

Breathe

Breathe in.
Breathe out,
Slowly.
Once more.
In…out….
Once more…
In recent states of thought I often forget to breathe. Sometimes I watch a movie or read a book, or sit on a rock on a mountain and simply forget.
Then suddenly it all comes back to me. The memory of being alive.

Tail of the dragon

A few weeks ago I was hiking to Baboquivari Peak and looked up at the clouds. The first thought I had was, “That looks just like a dragon.”
It spanned the sky with the tail pictured above the peak. I didn’t get a good set of photos to stitch the giant cloud dragon together. But if […]

Orange flowers into the distance

Sometimes orange flowers like to gather and say, “Ooooooo…look at us. We’re orange flowers and we’re so freakin’ cheerful! Come play!” Sometimes they even do it in near Santa Fe which is odd when you think about it.

Follow

This looks to me like a hand in the sunset telling you to follow. It’s beckoning you. You better listen as clouds in the twilight get pissed off if you don’t.

Watching the girl

The man watches the cute girl play pool. You can’t see that cute girl because I munged the photo with her. Hey! I was drunk and it ain’t easy shooting when you’re drunk in low light without a flash. But if you look at his face you can tell that’s a guy lusting.

Martin or lucha libre for Mexican food

Martin sits outside his restaurant on 4th Ave in Tucson. It’s a crazy photo but he makes the best damn Mexican food you’ve had…unless you had a Mexican grandmother who was a good cook in which case his is probably the second best.
His food is harmonious and happy making. I actually cook for […]

Tree on a mountain top

Well, it was more of a rock on a ridge line but mountain top sounds more impressive.
I spent quite a while trying to get to that dead tree and nearly died doing so. Once I gave up the thought that I could just walk around the rock and there would be a ladder waiting for […]
