Mangos, Melissa, and Montana

Posted on Thursday 30 August 2007

A friend mentioned this to nonsense movie title she used as space filler during some website development and it cracked me up it was such a perfect parody of a movie title that these words for a trailer popped into my tiny brain,

Two monkeys named Mango
A little girl with a with a club foot
And her older brother escaping from the mob…

And then I couldn’t stop, well, eventually I stopped but it took about a half hour of a movie trailer text to get to the point of physical and psychological and spiritual exhaustion,

The terror packed tale of a battered wife driving a load of mangoes
across the US while mercilessly being tracked by her maniacal
stepfather.

In the jungles of Malaysia juicy mangoes drop from trees…
In the mountains of Montana Melissa waits out the winter…
In a short time her life will be turned upside down by a series of
events so unbelievable they can’t be told…they must be experienced!

Montana is a cowboy. Born and bred to be a horseman. A loner who knew
only freedom.
Melissa is a the little orphan girl that stole his heart and turned
him into a father.
Mangos is the horse that brought them together.

In the streets of Los Angeles a drug deal goes bad…
In the streets of Calcutta a waif dreams of the open spaces of the US…
In the land where the mangoes cried freedom will be born…

They called her a mango on the mean streets of Sao Paulo, Brazil. They
spat on her in Montana.
Now they took her life away from her and she’s coming to get it back!
Horror and despair drive a desperate woman to topple the world’s most
ruthless criminal minds to save her son and husband from torture and
death. If she succeeds she’ll free millions from tyranny…if she
fails everything she loves will die!

A zany madcap romp with a car load of mangos, two crazy teenage brothers, and
a mysterious woman named Melissa they found on the side of the road in a bloody
wedding dress.
Each mango they give away gets them closer to a prize they can’t even
imagine…

While on vacation in Singapore he met the woman of his dreams.
While working as a chef she made the meal of a lifetime.
However is Dakshesh the Maharishi going to get those two crazy kids together?
Follow his world traveling romp as he fulfills his destiny to bring
happiness to two lost souls and achieves enlightenment at the same time!

He’s a crime fighter and a jet pilot with a love of the far East.
She’s a botanist and a pianist and flautist who who took a walk in the jungle.
A mango tree brought them together but will it tear them apart?

Man-gos is a lost god wandering the universe after expulsion from the
outer realms.
Melissa is the woman who kicked the god in the balls.
Montana is the dog that won the Frisbee championship three years in a row.
It’s a madcap tale of the future, of romance, of a quest and a test,
and a tale of where two strange beings learn to live together in a
warehouse on the riverfront in Vancouver.

Mangos, Melissa, and Montana demands to be made. And the way the Hollywood system works no one even really needs to know what the story it. We should start shooting that fucker tomorrow and worry about the details later.
