Beats me. Why do people do anything? I take photos of everything: people, landscapes, weddings, flowers, corporate events, kids birthday parties, movie sets, concerts, pretty much anything that has substance and is not ephemeral (although a shaman I shot for long before we became friends, claims I took a photo of Spirit on an empty ranch in New Mexico although I still think it was just a little vapor in the cold night air), is something that light can bounce off then I will be there with a camera getting that shot.
And, if all goes well, you will be there with a huge check or montstrous wad of cash.
