Film experiment

An experiment shooting action in low light on film. Taken at the Flam Chen show at Nimbus Brewery circa April 2008. It’s not a spectacular photo but I love the composition and motion in it so here you go. Enjoy it if you can. Otherwise leave nasty comments.

Light experiment

This is what happens when you wave around ornamental lawn lights at night. Now you know and have the information to be prepared at all times. The next time a maniac pulls a gun on you in a dark alley and demands to know what LED lit glass balls would look like at night you can offer a description of this photo. It’s a public service I give freely to keep you, the public, from being slaughtered by curious maniacs with guns or maybe machetes.

Fire, soon boom?

A car fire on a California highway mere minutes afte the crash. What’s really amazing about this photo isn’t the crash, the fire, or the soonness after the crash. What’s amazing about it is that despite the raging fire getting larger by the moment, everyone drove around the truck next to the fuel tanks surrounded by the fire. We did too. Everyone made the same estimation that “it probably won’t blow up and I’d love to get home and not wait three hours on a highway.” Impatience is a spectacular motivator.

A light from above

An image done with a bunch of friends one night. We do lots of light drawing/long exposure stuff but have been mostly lazy about it.

Check The Blelm Experience for some more experiments.
